I once lived for several years without a television, so often when I see it is more of an observation than a participation. I don't understand people who have relationships with shows....those who have to watch something. The time away taught something simple...this is the greatest bill of goods ever dumped on humanity...despite people thinking of themselves as rational beings making concious choices, I see most as trained rats, choosing most of their life to whatever message has been conveyed to them at any moment...This includes many claiming alternative status...who mostly recycle some commericalized aspect of an older fad. Perhaps it is due to me still havng access to people and times before any great forgetting...and having outsider status in a world of urban and suburbanized alienation...I have survived much, and watched others not survive, or be tormented....i have seen the results of what can happen to children raised in craziness..and know that solving it by leaping into religious fervor or convention is as empty as anything else in this mcdonalds and big box ridden landscape they call america...What you think is real may not actually exist, and not due to the fact you are crazy...only because it is seeming
